Litter Kwitter comes with a universal base plate (a special kind of toilet seat that fits all standard toilets), the three training disks (red, amber and green), a comprehensive instruction booklet plus a 30-minute DVD with step-by-step training directions you can see. In fact, you can see me (oh, the embarrassment!).

I’ve used them both. CitiKitty is one piece of plastic (like paper) that you put on the toilet and cut holes out of with a knife. It wobbles with the weight of your cat and freaks him out. It makes litter go all over the floor and in the toilet. For $30 it was a rip off. It didn’t work & went from toilet to garbage in 48 hours.

The Litter Kwitter is 4 parts – the white seat part with clips to make it fit tight (so it doesn’t move and freak the cat out!) and 3 colored rings that fit into it. The DVD shows each stage in detail so it was easy to do. It cost more but it worked great. I had a few mistakes but we got there in the end. It’s really solid and it worked for us. All together it cost me $99 for both but I’ll save that in litter soon enough. I could have saved $30 by getting the Litter Kwitter first!

For me the Litter Kwitter was the better product.
