How much does the antibiotic cost for feline uri or uti?
I found this tiny kitten in my backyard. She’s no bigger than the palm of my hand and is as light as a feather if that. She has a good appetite but only has (as far as I know) 2 symptoms of this virus/disease. Her eyes and nose has this green mucus coming out of them. I was hoping I could find some home remedies on the web that I can give her but all sites I’ve been to say that I should take her to the vet ASAP. Only problem with that is I don’t have any transportation at the moment, I don’t want to spend an arm and leg for this medication and I don’t want to give her away as she’s just so cute and has taken a liking towards me as I do her. So I just wanted to see if I could find out how much the meds were going to cost so that I could save not only money but this little precious life as well.
Try adding a little salt to her food and water for a couple of days – then once a week. Pets need salt in their diet as much as humans do.
Salt and water is the best antibiotic for both pets and humans. It’s natural (so it doesn’t cause complications with any prescription medications) and it’s about as free as you can get.
One thing, though – you should use unprocessed sea salt (for both you and your pet). It contains over 80 trace elements the body needs that you don’t get in the regular processed table salt. Table salt can be used in a pinch, but unprocessed sea salt is preferable.
