Why is my cat vomiting white foam?

My 4 yr old cat has been on Baytril for 2 weeks for feline acne, so far no problems. Two days ago she began vomiting white foam, nothing yesterday, then again today. It happens 4 to 5 times within about an hour , then nothing. She is eating but not as much as normal, she is drinking water and using the littler box normally. I am wondering what could be causing this. She does go outside occasionally during the day but, only on the concrete patio. Can you help?

The drug Baytril will make a cat foam at the mouth. A sudsy texture. It’s a reaction that alot (all of mine do) of cats get when they have to take medicine. It’s just a reflex. I would speak to your Vet about it and see if you can decrease the dosage to every other day. Since your cat has been on meds for 2 wks and the acne is better, I would think he would ok it. Alot of times when an animal is on medication their appetite decreases, but their water intake is normal. Make sure she has plenty of water and Monday call your Vet and speak with him/her.
Good Luck, let me know how she’s doing.
