How old should my kitten be to get his second round of shots?
I adopted a kitten today. He is 11 weeks old and he has been given his first round of shots, been dewormed, and has tested negative for feline aids and leukemia. When do I get him his second round of shots? Is the rabies shot included in the second or third round of shots? I will be applying to go through an assistance program because they are nice enough to reimburse me for the cost of neutering and his rabies shot. Thanks!!!
Depends on when given first shots – usually give shots 3-4 weeks apart. Usual kitten shots are at 8, 12, and 16 weeks. Rabies is given as one of the last shots (the final series).
