Does anyone know where I can look to find feline cardiologists in the state of IL?
My cat has been diagnosed by my local vet with HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy). He is a hybrid cat, an F4A Savannah. I would like to take him to a cardiologist, hopefully one that was familiar with the breed, to confirm (or un-confirm) the diagnosis. I’ve tried looking online, but haven’t found much.
I live in north central IL and would like to find a good one as close as possible to keep the stress down for my cat.
I have heard that the university of IL was very good, and I may go that route if I can’t find a cardiologist closer to home.
