Thanks to everyone for the previous answers to my ? about prescription diet.?
Here’s more details about my situation. My male cat has been placed on Feline Prescription Diet CD (which is for the urinary tract). He has had crystals build-up and has had minor surgery once for this and has had to spend the night at the vet on another occasion. The vet said that the best thing is plenty of water. I have a fountain and 2 other water dishes in my house so that there is water anywhere that they might like to take a drink. I also have a female cat that is on this food now because she had a high consentration in her urine at her last vet visit and she had started urinating behind the TV. Does anyone know of another food that is for these simptoms? My cats are 7(male) and 3(female).
There are a couple other prescription foods for this condition, but CD works really well, and it’s all my guys eat. We have never had a “blockage” problem since they started eating it, and they love the taste. It is pretty expensive, though, that’s the only problem. But Petsmart has started carrying now, so that’s made it a little less burdensome.
