Ginger cats and black marks on mouth and eyes?
I have noticed that only ginger cats get black or dark brown patches on their skin around the eyes, mouth and nose. My cat has it and I thought at first it could be feline acne but the vet said its not. They dont know what these marks are and having researched it, it is only prominent in ginger cats.
Does anyone know what it is?
My Ginger Tom got them when he was about 2 or 3 years, the woman at the cattery mentioned it with a kind of ‘he’s growing up now’ tone, apparently it is only the lovely gingers who get it and it’s normal, I always thought it was a bit like having freckles. I do miss my freckley ginger cat. ^x^
